The Five-Step Process

Obtain a rebate of the purchase price of your house! Just do your initial search for homes for sale in San Diego online, and we'll do the rest. We make the appointments and take you on house tours. We even make the offer, acceptance and do the closing, just as traditional real estate companies do.

  1. Register on the site — Rebates are provided only for registered users of HouseRebate.
  2. Pre-qualify for a loan — The next step we'd like you to take is to find out what you can comfortably afford. This will pre-qualify you for the loan you take out to purchase your new home. By pre-qualifying, you are able to move quickly on a home you like by placing an offer. Being pre-qualified tells the seller you are serious about buying because you've taken the necessary steps to show that you are capable of financing the house you want.
  3. Search for houses — It's easy to search for real estate listings right here on our web site.
    Email Notification Service: After registering and performing a property search, you may save your search criteria and subscribe to receive automatic email notifications of new properties matching your criteria.
    Note: For new homes, our agent must accompany you on your first visit to the project in order for you to receive a rebate on your purchase.
  4. House Tour — After you drive by the property you've been eyeing, contact us to set up an appointment for a tour. Please obtain the loan pre-qualification letter prior to viewing the interior of the houses. Prior to a house tour, the new laws require buyers to sign Buyer Representation and broker compensation agreement. We charge 2.5% to the buyer and will rebate 33% of that amount back to you at the close of escrow. We will request that seller pay our commission as part of the offer. If the seller refuses to pay our 2.5% buyer fee, the buyer would pay the 2.5% and obtain a 33.0% rebate at close of escrow. The net buyer commission would be 1.66% (2.5% less rebate of 0.83%)
  5. Make an offer on a house — We provide you with all of the sale comparable for similar houses in the area so you can make an intelligent offer. We guide you through the entire buying process, from start to finish, including the offer, negotiations, acceptance, escrow, pest control, title, physical inspection, loan process and closing.

* Rebates are subject to our terms of use. The rebate only applies if you drive by the property prior to setting up appointments and the purchase price is at least $100,000. To the extent you want to view properties without driving by first, the maximum rebate is 16.67% of our commission. There will be no rebates available on properties less than $100,000. Void where prohibited by state law.
