Lemon Grove takes its name from the lemon orchards planted in the late 1800s. The fruit is honored with a large Lemon monument in the center of the commercial district, near the trolley tracks. The commercial center of Lemon Grove can be found along a 3-mile stretch of Broadway Avenue, with a mix of retail chains and family businesses.
